http://247wallst.com/special-report/2013/08/27/the-10-fastest-growing-jobs-in-america/ Due 8 September 2014. Take a look at the 10 jobs and discuss WHY these jobs are in such demand. After looking at the list, do you prefer to change your current goal to seek employment in an occupation in higher demand? When choosing an occupation, what is your primary reason for the choice: money? satisfaction or happiness? convenience? something else?

  1. After looking at the list I decided to keep my decision of becoming a personal financial advisor. My primary reason in choosing this job is to make money and become powerful. I would like to work with money so I understand it better. Also this will help me make money. One of my ambitions is to be the richest man to ever walk the earth. With my money comes power which i'll use to help people and the earth.

  2. After looking at the list of jobs that are in high demand I decided to keep the decision of becoming a game designer. My primary reason for choosing this job is because it will make me happy. I would be waking happy to go to work every morning working on the things I love doing. Being a game designer has been my dream ever since I was a little kid and I won't change that for another job that I might not even be happy to work for.

  3. The changing demographic of the united states has driven the growth of many jobs. Jobs such as personal advisers, personal care specialists, and other jobs that the aging generation of baby boomers need to help them retire. The fact that these jobs are in high demand right now doesn't make me want to change my career goal. I would choose my job based on three things. Salary, Benefits, and being passionate enough about it that I look forward to going on a daily basis.

  4. In my opinion, the top 10 jobs are in such high demand because 80% of those jobs are necessities to everyday living, and luxury items. Which means that those jobs would have a larger amount of people working there because of the larger amout of work needa to get done to fufill people's everyday lives.
No I wouldn't change my future aspires to seek a higher demanding job, because the wages for some of the top 10 highest demanding jobs are still paying their employees slim to minimun wage.
The primary reason for me choosing the job is for the salary cap on it, but it's also about if I could work there the rest of my life, and be happy with working there. Nobody wants to work at a job forever that they hate just to make the money.

  5. These ten jobs are in such high demand because everyone tend to need one of them and its high paying, which everyone wants because they have a family to feed and to take care of. Some of them are self employed so all they need to get is a certification to prove that they are certified and is working in the correct area. For example, the skin care specialist , many of them are self employed. So all they need to get is a certified licenses proving they are legit. After I looked at the list of jobs that are in high demand, I wouldn't change my career choice. I would still stay as a film producer/film editor because that is something I really enjoy doing for a living. I wouldn't want a job that is getting a higher pay, but I wouldn't enjoy doing. I want to have a positive attitude and be happy everyday when going to work, people wouldn't like me if I just came to work everyday looking mad or sad because I am not happy I am there. My main reason when I chose my occupation was to make me happy and enjoy what I do. Also, one reason would be I want to chose something I am really good at, and show people what I can do with my skills. So, when I am choosing my occupation I am looking for enjoyment, happiness, and if I am good at it.

  6. The 10 fastest growing jobs in America came as quite a surprise to me. Society has taught me to believe that our population would aim for more "higher-level" jobs, however this article has proven that the need for those such jobs are minimal. Research shows instead that the nations growing aging community and changing energy needs are occupations in high demand. After looking at the list of jobs, I begin to worry about my own goals in life and whether or not they are achievable with the country's needs. Although my dreams do not relate to the jobs discussed, I would not change my wishes to seek an occupation in a higher demand. I would like to think that happiness would be my primary reason for my career choice, however I know that money is a huge contributing factor. It might be naive of me, but why can I not have both? For the lifestyle that I see myself living, I will need a good income, but I do not want to sacrifice my positive and serene attitude.

  7. These ten jobs are in such high demand because people are finding these jobs more important and useful. Jobs that are more appealing to the public are rising faster. For instance, massage therapists (number five) are in need now more than ever because everyday life is more stressful for working individuals and busy families. Money is also a huge factor for the rise in these jobs since people are finding it harder to take care of their families. All of these jobs are well-paying; therefore, these careers are becoming more interesting for people. After looking at these jobs, I have a better idea for what possible career path I might want to pursue. As of right now, I am undecided as to what career is the best for me so having this list is very helpful. My biggest concern in choosing a career is the level of happiness it will bring to me. Money is also a factor in my decision but I want to pick a career that I wouldn’t mind until retirement. I want my job to be both satisfying and well-paying. My parents taught me that it is so important to love what you do. I don’t want to settle for a career that won’t bring me a life full of happiness.

  8. After looking at the 10 fastest growing jobs in america, I didn't change my mind but it certainly did get me to thinking about my life choices. I believe these jobs are in high demand because they are valued in everyday life. For example "1. Service Unit Operators, Oil, Gas and Mining" is an important job because they provide us with sources we use everyday. I always wanted to be an English professor or a translator & due to the fact that being a translator is in demand it is steering me in a different direction. My priorities for jobs the money, I would like a job that is in high demand due to the higher pay, but I also want a job that makes me happy.

  9. These top ten jobs are in such high demand because people are realizing that these are extremely important and useful in order to live a successful life. After looking at the jobs list, I began to question my major, because nowadays, it might not be enough in order to keep me and my family afloat in the future ahead of us. From choosing an occupation, I need to have one that can provide me with the income my family and I will need to survive, but also a job I will enjoy waking up for every morning. Although money is a huge factor in determining which job to pursue, happiness is also something that could make or break my decision. Having a job you hate going to every morning isn’t worth the aggravation or despair you’ll have to go through on the daily basis in order to provide for yourself.

  10. I was a bit shocked when viewing this article about the top ten fastest growing jobs in America, due to the jobs not being so outstanding as a career. I then completed reading the article and thought to myself the reason why these jobs were the top ten fastest growing jobs in America. The jobs that are of more complex are not as useful as those that were listed. I have come to realization that these careers are the fastest growing jobs in America due to them being so fundamental and vital for the world that we are living in today. Therefore, this allows for more people working in these fields that are of such necessity for everyday life. On the other hand, some of the more complex careers are not as fast growing due to them not being as important as some of the other careers out there. For example, number 4's fastest growing job is Interpreters and Translators. Globalization and international trade is still occurring which leads to an increase in foreigners. There is an influx of people that are continuing to move to America due to the many advantages that America has to offer. Due to this, their is an extreme need for translators and interpreters. Whereas in some of the other jobs such as Massage Therapist, number five, it is not due to a necessity but more of a want by many Americans. The economy is tough and the stress level of many people is high. This has created a correlation between the increase of Massage Therapist jobs and the stress level of many Americans. As of now, I am undecided on the career that I would like to have when I am older. Although, this article has most definitely given me some insight of what I should aim towards and why. I believe that happiness is most definitely a key factor in the career that I would like to obtain when I am older. If I am not happy with the job that I have, I believe that I will not be able to put my best efforts into it. It is extremely important to take on a career that you enjoy so that you can live a happy life and not feel stressed out when going to work each day. Another key factor would be the income that I would make. Their is a phrase, "Money can't buy you happiness", although I believe that it can. If my career doesn't give me a sufficient amount of money for me to survive and be able to live a successful, stress-free life with, I doubt that I will be happy. Money is one of the main contributing factors in a career for me. I strongly believe that it is important that I live my life with happiness and a successful career.

  11. These jobs are in such high demand because college is getting more and more expensive. Some of the jobs a person could go to a vocational school, which is much less expensive. After looking at the list I still would not change my current goal to seek occupation in higher demand. My goal is to become a pediatric nurse, which is a field that will never fail. When choosing an occupation that I have a goal for, I thought about the salary and what would keep me happy. My first thoughts was becoming a teacher because I enjoy working with children, but after research I realized that is not a good enough salary for a person to live off of in this economy. Looking into pediatric nursing, I realized that I could be able to have the money and satisfaction to live a good life.

  13. The high demand for these jobs all has to do with money. People live their lives worrying about money right now, money in the next couple years, and money for when they are old and retired. Besides the petroleum and oil industry and the coaches and scouters, all of the other jobs in high demand for employees have to do with making sure you live a healthy and smart life. People need financial advisors so they can retire with $16,000,000 and cruise the caribbean. This list has not changed my mind on the job I want to have in the future. When I think of a future job, I think of something that is going to make me MONEY. As well as making money, I want a job where I can alter my hours and not work 60 hours a week. I want to become a registered nurse and then go into the radiology field. I know the job I am looking to have in the future will make me the amount of money I need to retire and travel the world!

  14. I currently do not want to change my goal in the profession I am interested in, because it is an occupation that would not only help the retired baby boomers (not necessarily a personal care aide), but a profession that abides to all ages. My primary reason for achieving a Bachelor's in nursing is knowing that I will have the abilities to help someone with their injuries or sickness. The altruist feeling of helping others truly is a satisfaction in my part, I may also be in it for the money, however, nursing is a high demanding job so i see no need to worry about not finding a position to work.

  15. The economy will always be changing, there is no certainty, the same goes for these jobs. The reason why these jobs are on such high demand must have something to do with money. But I am surprised that music directors and interpreters/translators are so much needed during these times, might be because of the American's thirst for music is on the rise and there are many people moving in the country from other places of the world. For my part, no matter what, I think being a doctor is pretty stable despite the economy being up or down, reason being doctors are always be needed. Since it is such a hard road to travel in order to obtain that doctor position, I'm sure it would be pretty easy for me to find a position to work at. I do this job mostly on the stability and the security of my future, not sure it would bring me happiness, as long if I can help my family financially I'm okay with that.

  16. All those jobs are in high demand because what people believe will be needed. Translators are needed due to our country being a melting pot. Also, Petroleum Engineers and Service Unit Operators are needed due to the need of these materials. Skin care specialist are in high demand due to the image produced by media. Personal Care Aids are needed due to the growing number of adults that need help once they're in their old age and can't take care of themselves. Personal Financial Advisers are needed due to the fact that many Americans do not understand Economics.
After reading this article I do not wish to change my career goal because it is something I am passionate about and will want to continue to do all my life even though the income isn't great.

  17. These jobs are in such high demand considering they have become a big part of society for example #10 skin care specialists and or people that work with cosmetology are in very high request because lots of people are looking to get there hair done or get a good facial and they are looking for someone that can do it well and for an affordable price. personally I have always wanted to be a dental hygienist so reading this really hasn't affected my decision it makes me think will my job still count but why would I go into a field everyone's trying to be apart of making it harder for me to get the job. Choosing the dental field money dose play a part but I want to be happy with what I'm doing and I feel if u find it interesting and u can see yourself doing it I don't see why not do it.

  18. The 10 fastest growing jobs in America are high in demand because the baby boomers generation is getting old. These people need specialists who can take care of them or help them. One of the jobs that is in high in demand and it helps the elderly, is a personal care aide. Also, with the aging population there will be a demand for personal financial advisers which will be needed for the older generation. The top 2 jobs on the list are #2 Petroleum Engineers and #1 Service Unit Operators, Oil, Gas and Mining. Those two jobs are in high in demand because oil is scarce today. With the growing demand of oil, there will be a demand for oil operators and petroleum engineers to find more of this scare resource. After reading the article about the 10 fastest growing jobs in America I don’t want to change my career path. I would to become a computer engineer because I was had a fascination with technology. Technology has made our lives faster and more convenient for us. My goal is to design technology that would help create a more convenient society.

  19. These jobs are all in high demand because of money. we are always concerned with how much money we have, make, and can spend. we worry about our children having money our retired self and present self. These jobs are achieving the needs for the workers which is the need for money. After reading this article i still have no desire to change my career path due to the fact that what I want to do will not only make me money but I will also be so happy to do what I love. My dream job is to manage the PR and Marketing department for an NFL team. I would never choose a career path that I wouldn't love because I wouldn't want to be miserable everyday going to work.

  21. The growing demographics of the United States, specifically the increase in the amount of elderly people from the Baby Boom generation, is mostly responsible for the increase in the demand for most of these jobs on the top ten fastest-growing jobs list. The growth in the demand for translators have increased due to the growing population of Hispanics, and the expanding international trade.
The demand for petroleum engineers and service unit operators have increased due to the rise in oil prices and the need to produce oil from unconventional source. Having reviewed the list of the fastest growing jobs in the U.S., I have decided that i still desire to become an evangelist. When seeking a career, I am motivated by the fulfillment of my purpose in life.

  22. These jobs are in such high demand for a few reasons like aging baby boomers needing assistants; for example: personal financial advisors. Secondly, oil is an important part in the economy, so jobs related to it would be in demand. After looking at the list i decided to stay with my occupation of choice. My primary choice is because of money and happiness. I have a passion for the healthcare field but i also want my choice to pay well. The list did not offer that.

  23. These 10 jobs are in such high demand because more people/companies are needing them. So the more they are needed the more it is in demand and the faster the job grows. After looking at the options for the fastest growing jobs, i have no intention on changing my goal for my future job but it does make me concerned on my future career choice. My plan that I have had for a few years now is to seek a job in the medical field. I always liked what nurses do in the hospital so my choice is for happiness and probably the money too.

  24. The top 10 fastest growing jobs in America was definitely a surprise to me considering the jobs chosen opposed my preconceived idea that in our world today, it would be difficult to survive financially without a higher level degree. However, now I understand why these jobs continue to grow in high demand. With our aging baby boomers, jobs like a message therapist, skin care specialists, and personal financial advisers are desired to make less aging less painful and the inevitable "passing on" less stressful. Not only could they have a market based off of just baby boomers but these jobs also appeal to the everyday public. Think of the average soccer mom being treated to a spa, the college student trying to clear her complexion, or the couple looking to be thrifty for their future. Beside the growing demand, they pay is also an incentive. Everyone is trying to provide for their families and most of these jobs don't require years of classes and increasing loans. Reading this article has definitely shown me that graduate school is not the only option, however, I still want to continue chasing my current goals. The reason being not only money but mainly stability. Pharmacist are important to any society and will always be needed. They also happen to make adequate salary. I don't believe I am sacrificing my happiness because being able to provide for my family would someday be a major contributor to my happiness as a mother, wife, and daughter hoping to care for aging parents.

  25. After reading this article, I now understand why these top ten jobs are in such high demand. The reason being is because these jobs are really important to the human society. Others may disagree, but all these jobs have it's importance to it when it comes to our everyday lives. For example #1 "Service Unit Operators, Oil, Gas and Mining". Their demand has increased tremendously due to the fact that oil is needed to be produced and the fact being that oil prices are continuing to rise. After reading this article, it didn't change my mind on what my career goal is. I still wish to become a pediatric nurse. I absolutely love children and being able to say that I help care for them everyday would make me so happy knowing I'm helping the community. When choosing an occupation, I mainly did it towards what I would enjoy doing in my career path. I want to wake up every morning knowing I'm heading to a job that I love doing. I also thought about money but when it comes to anything in the medical field, I know money won't be an issue and I'll be able to make lots of it to provide for myself and my family in the future.

  26. With the demands of people changing, employments for different occupations are also fluctuating. As the United States is using various resources for energy, the change in energy needs along with the nation’s aging population causes different jobs to increase employment. Just because these occupations that are seeking more employment aren't something that I am interested in doesn't make me want to change what career I want to go into. For the longest while I wanted to become a teacher, but last year I had to sit down and think about what career I wanted because it would be what I’m going to be doing for a good amount of my life. As I was weighing the pros and cons of being a teacher the cons were beginning to outweigh the pros. The only thing that stayed in the back of my mind was that I wanted to be a teacher because it is something that I love; but due to the low salary teaching is something I can’t even consider anymore. The increasing price of everything is what’s making me choose a job for money instead of satisfaction and happiness.

  27. These top ten jobs are generally the ones most seen in the country because the mostly deal with human services and anything that deals with human resources will never end. Let's take for example architecture, it's a career that will always be changing wherever you go. It's a career that you'll have to search for the place where more advancements are in order to strive. But if we take in consideration a career related to human resources such as a massage therapist as mentioned in the list, it's a career that will always strive because people will always have some type of reason why to go there. As stated in the article, aids are in high demand right now because everyone will age at some point and will need for someone to care for them. I was pretty amazed as to why a career such as a pediatrician wasn't mentioned. I actual thought that career would be in high demand too. Just because it isn't on the list, won't change my decision. I've always wanted to be a doctor and my dream is to become a pediatrician. I love working with kids and I want to give the best care I can to every child I possibly can. I've always thought of work as a place where I go because I like to be there and because I am offering my service to someone else. It is obvious that we all depend on money and that is our source of obtaining it, by working hard. But my main goal in becoming a pediatrician is to bring out smiles to every kid I care for. I know that in the future all the hard work and dedication will pay off.

  28. The top 10 jobs in the articles are in such demand, because people have been changing over the years and so have their demands. These jobs are what people want now a days. People want to live a little bit more comfortably and these jobs are what help make that happen. I would not change my goals to seek employment in an occupation with a higher demand, unless it was something that I would at least be somewhat interested in. I guess my primary reason, when choosing an occupation, would be satisfaction and happiness, but money really is what determines what job I will have.

  29. Looking at the 10 fastest growing jobs, youd think that they are most demanded because they are the types of jobs that are neeed for everyday life. As the baby boomers are getting older and restire, these listed jobs are becoming higher and higher in demand. Jobs done such as petroleum engineers and services unite operators are needed for the type of lifestyles that we have. Being the two of the fastest growing, their type of work are the some of the most involved and needed. With our country being as diverse as it is, translators and interpreters are also very crucial. As time continues, the people's needed for the type of work that is being completed would increase. After looking at the list, I feel content with the occupation that I wish to fullfil. I want to be a pediatrician, and the way I think of it is that doctors will always be in demand. When choosing the type of work that I want to do for the rest of my life, I think of money and happiness. I feel that if you are doing a job and you are miserable, then it is time to look for another one. I want to be able to support myself yet be content and satisfied with what I am doing everyday. It is the fact of being happy, but if your getting the money with that job, then thats a plus.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The reason why these jobs are the top ten fastest growing is simply due to the change in the needs of the people. For example, the elderly aren't getting any younger and they need people to help take care of them. Due to the increasing ethnic diversity in America, translators and interpreters are also ideal careers to have. After seeing this list, I don't want to switch what I want to study in college, but it gives me an idea of the direction that America is going in. Most jobs that are growing the fastest involve human interaction and helping out one another. I feel when you choose an occupation, money is obviously the main factor but at the same time it wouldn't be smart to have a job that you absolutely hate.

After looking over these in demand jobs, I can understand see why they some are so popular. Job number 10 is skin care specialists. These workers may be self employed but have a living because there are always new products on the market. A few other jobs on the list talk about the baby boom generation and how they are getting into that age where they need aids financial advisors. After looking over the list, I might consider looking into these jobs. I was already thinking about cosmetology since the area is very popular and talked about at the moment because of social media and products always arriving. I might be interested in the skin care specialists. When it comes to my reasoning, I don’t think it’d only be for money. Probably for my happiness because I’m not one of workers who will sit at a desk all day. I would like to enjoy human interaction with customers and clients.

  32. There are many factors that effect which jobs are in high demand, personal needs and resource availability are two that were mentioned in this article. I would not change my path based solely on what is in high demand. That plan would most likely backfire on me. I find it difficult to complete tasks to the best of my abilities that I feel I do not play an important role in. I would be better off pursuing something I am passionate about that may or may not yield more money. Income matters, but will not be the deciding factor in my future.

  33. The reason why these jobs are in demand is because of the nation's aging population and it's changing energy needs. Also, as the baby boom generation ages, people need help planning for retirement. So more personal financial advisors will be needed. I do not prefer to change my current goal to one in higher demand because I like the occupation I want to do in the future. I want to be a doctor and I know people will always need to go to the hospital. When choosing an occupation, my primary reason for the choice is both for the money and happiness. I don't want to pick a job just for the money because I know I'm going to be doing it for a long time. I want to be happy and wealthy or at least close to it.

  34. After looking at the list I decided to keep my decision of becoming pediatric oncologist. I chose this career due to many of personal experiences relative to this profession. These 10 jobs are in such high demand because more people and companies are needing them. So the more they are needed the more it is in demand and the faster the job grows.Although, i'm actually shock doctors wasn't the top choice on that list.

  35. After reading through the list of the "Top Ten jobs that are in high demand" I realized that these jobs tend to deal with everyday life, need a lot of employees, and they also pay a fair amount of money .I wouldn’t change my job choice because its also pays a good amount of money, and I’m able to control the amount of hours I work. I choose this job because I know in the future ill be comfortable and finically stable.

  36. These jobs are in such demand because these jobs are needed now in peoples life's. A lot of people depend on the people working these jobs to make their life's better. After looking at the list I've had a change of mind, i might think about changing occupation because sometimes you gotta see what is going to make you more money. Its also about the happiness too but since i'm not really sure what I want to be yet I would see what makes more money. Sometimes its better to see what job is going to help you see what will make you have a better life.

  37. These jobs seem to be in such high demand due to their benefits to society & the economy as a whole as well as making things a bit easier to those who have enough stress on their minds. After reading this, no, I have not changed my mind on what I want to do in the future with biomedical engineering; I would get personal satisfaction from this job because I would both help people and make a decent amount of money... Also, the thought of making scientific breakthroughs and helping to revolutionize the world as we know it truly excites me.

  38. Only a few lucky people have that moment in life where they realize their true passion. The luckier ones find a passion that they can make money off of. Most of the jobs on the list require human interaction or working with natural resources. Such as cosmetologists, people today are always looking to improve themselves, therefore skin care professionals are always needed. Also, service unit operators who are responsible for digging up our natural resources are always in demand because our resources are. The jobs on the list aren’t even getting paid what you would expect. Those workers are taking home the average income, some even less. After reading the article I still wouldn’t reconsider my choice of becoming a graphic designer. I wouldn’t want to wake up to a horrid job everyday even if it does pay very well. I want to go to a job I’m confident and excited about. I want a career, not a job. The world and human needs are forever changing so these jobs listed in the article will not always be the jobs that have a high population.

  39. We all know what makes us happy in life and that will have a great impact on the occupation we want to pursue. Individuals that want a great and successful life may have enjoyment out of picking a occupation in high demand regardless of the industry, stress, or work level demanded from said occupation. You will have individuals say that it is better to be happy then to make more money, but to some people happiness is money.
On the topic of jobs, the occupations that are in demand now will not be the same occupations in demand a decade from now because time as well as people change. Doctors may be an occupation in demand now but what will happen when technology increases and sickness decreases. There will not be a need for as many doctors in the work force. Engineers were not in demand in the 1950s because technology was not as advanced as it is now but i can guarantee in a decade or so they will be the most in demand job on the planet. As time progresses things change and the needs will not be the same. We cannot simply say a petroleum engineer is in demand so let me go in that field and tell my kids to go in this field as well because they can make a lot of money because it is not that simple. Your kids will not see the same success in the industry as you have experienced because the times have called for different occupations to skyrocket.

  40. I could not tell you why all these jobs are in such demand. Maybe because they pay so little, and no one wants to do them. They all do with helping, or some sort of medical care for others, but the salaries look more like a punishment. I still would like to peruse my dream of developing the number one app in the appstore and making 20K + a day. Once I do that for a year or two, id then like to write a book about my success, adding another 10 million to my net worth. And after that Id like to become a motivational speaker, and travel around the world teaching people the secrets to life, and how not to be stuck in life doing some regular job, making *** money. My primary concern in job seeking is happiness. The only thing that makes me happy is MONEY. So the job must pay well for me to be happy :)

I feel like these jobs are in such high demand because of the pay and that there are a lot of jobs open that need little to no training or education. My current goal is to work on boats either crewing, cooking, or interpreting. I would like to stay on track to reach my goal because i know that i would be the happiest doing that. My primary reason with choosing a job is a mix of convenience, happiness, and money. I need money to live, convenience to also have a social life, and a job that makes me happy because then it wont be a job anymore; it will be a career.

  42. While reading the 10 fastest growing jobs in America i noticed that most of them are being paid terrible wages. I want to enjoy my life and spoil myself since this is the only life i have so i want a job that pays well. Petroleum Engineer was the only job on that list that satisfied my wants, money wise. We as Americans know that we all want and since wanting cost a lot we must realize that if you work hard and work for what you want then you will need a job that pays well. I also want to be happy with my family so whatever job i have i must have the ability to vacation throughout the year. The more money i make the happier i will be able to make not only myself but my family as well.

  43. After reading this article I still want to pursue my goal and not follow within the 10 fastest growing jobs. These 10 jobs don't have high pay, and there are so many other jobs that don't need higher education. My goal is to become a plastic surgeon, I want to work on reconstruction. I also want to open up an organization within the job to help transgender people afford surgery. I am going to into this profession for money and happiness. I want to be financially stable without having to worry and with the median pay being over $200,000 I feel like a can achieve that.

  45. The increased demand of most of the jobs on the list is probably because the baby boom generation is getting old. For example personal care aids and financial advisors. Also our country is one big, growing melting pot full of many different ethnicities and languages which is why we may need translators. When I first saw the article though this was not what I expected. I thought I would see doctors and engineers on the top of the the list. Personally I would not change my career goals. The only thing I want in the future is to be happy and yes, I understand money has a major part in that but I just want to love what I do. Whatever that may be.

  46. the top 10 jobs are in such high demand because all jobs are needed for everyday life.Which means that those jobs would have a larger amount of people working there because of the larger demand for it.
No I wouldn't change my future goals to seek a higher demanding job, because the wages for some of the top demanding jobs are still paying their employees slim to minimun wage. I want to become a mechanical engineer which would pay way more then these jobs and there still in high demand and on top of that it interest me.

  48. The article explains it pretty bluntly why all these jobs are in such a high demand. There is an increasing number of elderly people due to the baby boom; with that more people need to provide services that are appropriate to this phenomenon like aids and financial advisers for retirement. Also with the increase in diversity in America, jobs like translators, teachers, and international/foreign affairs are crucial. Personally I still don't know what i want to do as a career, and the list does not affect my decision. I am not drawn to any of the occupations on the list. When i do decide what job i want, the primary factor will be happiness.

  49. I believe that these top 10 jobs are in high demand because of the changing demographic of the United States. It is also caused by the baby boom generations aging. These jobs are needed for everyday life. I am still unsure of what I would like my future job to be but I'm certain that the occupation I choose is for pure happiness. Money can buy me a lot of things but it cant buy happiness.

  50. The rise in demand of these jobs are due mainly to the growing population of the baby boomers. As they reach retirement age, they require certain care and financial advisement. Because of this rapid growth, more opportunities are provided in those fields. Another factor is the need of the society in energy recourses. Oil, for example is an important commodity and the raises in oil prices highlight the importance of it as a resource. The more important an item, or field is to a society, the more job opportunities there are in ensuring its success. I don't plan on changing my career due to these statistics. These only remind me of the importance of sticking to my field. With such rapid increases in jobs in these fields, the more devalued they will be (you receive less pay). When choosing an occupation, my primary reasoning is money. In order to live comfortably and happily when I am going through retirement, I must make a substantive amount of money in my younger years. Much like we work our butts off during school to get a good job, we work our butts off in jobs so that we may receive benefits and be happier later on. Such is life.

  51. Viewing the list of the top 10 fastest jobs, I was simply enlightened. I personally have no interest in seeking employment in an occupation that is in high demand. My primary reason for my choice is to help those in need of psychological evaluation because of my infatuation with the human mind and my desire to help those in need of professional assuage...

  52. After reading the list of growing jobs in America, I am still very grounded in my decision to be an educator. Most of the jobs on the list were, in my own opinion, not very enjoyable jobs. America will always need teachers. Maybe, one day, computers will be the ones to teach students, but even computers must get their information, their programs, from somewhere. I do realize that a teacher's salary isn't very high, but I would rather to do something I love every day and get a satisfactory amount of money for it than to wake up every morning, miserable, dreading to go to work. Teaching would make me happy. Of course, if I ever wanted more money, I could do some editing and publishing on the side.

  53. After reading this article I am a bit confused by some of the rapidly growing jobs. While I understand that the baby boom has left an increased number of elderly people who may want some of these services, it is still difficult to believe that the average American can afford a "massage therapist", considering our current economic state. Then again, the previous generation was not as economically misfortunate as us, as Ms. Meachum told our class.
The article does not affect my current career goals in any way. Most of the jobs listed did not have a desirable salary, nor did they really appeal to me. I would like to be a nurse, which is something I know will always be in high demand and it is something I think I would enjoy.

  54. These top ten jobs are in high demand because they are the top ten things that we need the most right now in this economy. The resources and benefits we are getting from these jobs are things we use in everyday life. With number 1 being gas, we use tons of gas everyday. After looking at this list, none of those jobs make me want to change my mind about what I want to do in life. Those occupations do not interest me. When choosing a career I want to able to say that I love my job and I also make a lot of money doing it. My first thing to look for would be happiness and then I would start looking at the money.

  55. When Looking at the list of 10 most demanding jobs, I see that they are the most demanding jobs because their the nesssiticies that we need in eveyday life. After being done with the list. I still desire to be a professional dancer not for the money for the love and passion of dance. The jobs on the list aren't what I have a interest in my happiness is what's most important.

  56. I believe the main reason that some of these jobs are in such high demand is because most of them ave to do with human life. Most of these jobs help people in their everyday lives. They help them feel comfortable and fell good about themselves which is very important in this day and age. Reading this list I still do not wish to change what I have decided to do with my life. The reason for this is because the reason I chose the career I have chosen for myself is so I can be happy with what i'm doing. That's all I'm looking for in my life. I don't want to be controlled by the by the object that we call money. I just want to be happy.

  57. The reason that these jobs are in demand because the aging population requires occupations to be filled that will satisfy their needs physically and financially. Also, there is a need for foreign language speakers, and a need for resources as energy.
I may change my career goal because a physical therapist and a massage therapist are similar in what they do. However, I may shoot for other occupations that fit my interests.
When choosing an occupation, the primary reason is for happiness because I refuse to do something I hate on a daily. It holds true that money means power, but only a certain amount of money is needed to live comfortably.

  58. The reason that these 10 jobs are in high demand, is because the nation’s aging population and changing energy needs played major roles in driving disproportionate job growth for many of the occupations, for their care and satisfaction. And knowing that theses jobs are in much higher demand, it makes me think that I should seek out one of those careers, but I also wonder if I'll be happy doing that career. You make a lot of money, it convenient, but what if it doesn't make me happy? Would I really want to me stuck with a job that makes me miserable every time I think about it? This would be something I would have to look more into, before determining what's best for myself. Happiness, or a well paying job?

  59. I believe these jobs are in high demand because these businesses, are when consumers are most of the time. Therefore these businesses are increasing. I remain with my girls regardless of the booming industries. My primary choice for an occupation is the salary, with some components of convenience due to the fact that I'm a student. Money is the first reason because you need to purchase and pay, so the more of course, the better.

  60. When it is time for me to pick my occupation it will be based upon what I am genuinely interested in since I will have to do it for a long time. Money would also be an option because I plan on living comfortably so just because I like to do a certain thing not saying I necessarily would if I wasn't getting paid enough

  61. The jobs listed are in such high demand due to society and our demographics changing. Society is aging and changes must be made to meet the demands that come with the this but also the growing population. Jobs including interpreters and translators are completely expected as we are becoming more and more diverse and multi cultured with all the people arriving to the us. The personal aides
are needed for the aging and growing baby boom citizens. After looking at the list I do not change my current goal to seek employment in an occupation in high demand. I stay with my decision in becoming a personal fitness trainer with my primary reasons being to help others live healthier lives, of course a good pay, and self-satisfaction and happiness in what I do.

  62. Jobs such as personal financial advisors and personal care aides are in such demand because the children of the 'baby boom' are aging. They're looking to manage their savings and assets whiles they're on their way to retirement. They also need people to care for them. After looking at the list, I prefer to keep my current employment goal because the ones on the list don't really interest me. When choosing an occupation, my primary reason for the choice is the satisfaction I will receive from doing it. There may be a time when my occupation isn't making much money. I don't want to be stuck at a job I hate and not make money at the same time.

  63. These are the types of jobs that most people need because they help with their lifestyles. So those jobs will never fall short of demand. Personally I don't think I would change my profession, but someone who is choosing a profession that isn't sure to help them financially would probably consider switching. For me, if the job pays well I will stick with it because I have to be able to support myself. Satisfaction only comes when I can afford it.

Also I would like minor in culinary because people always need food and majority of time people do not want to cook at home there for making profit for my business. I wouldn't e extremely satisfied because I enjoy culinary and entrepreneurs making a substantial amount of.money and I would be satisfied financially and emotionally.

  65. After reviewing the top 10 jobs high in demand I see that they're in high demand because they're basic necessities that people go through everyday . After reviewing the list I choose to stay with my current goal because I feel like being in criminology or becoming an anesthesiologist will be in high demand because those are occupations that are necessary for everyday life. I choose my occupations based off of money of course , happiness, and to satisfy as well because i would like for my job to entertain me, make me happy, and keep me interested and occupied everyday plus happy.

  66. After looking at the top ten highest paying jobs, I can see why they are in such demand. All of the jobs listed were and still are essential to running America and the society’s needs. It is important to promote those jobs because they are always needed, and that’s why they are in such high demand. Personally, I would not change my career choice based on what’s in demand because none of those jobs interest me. I don’t believe in changing anything I want to do just because other people want something else. For example, one of the jobs listed was petroleum engineer, which I have absolutely no interest in doing. I would never change the career choice I have in mind for that. I would not want to be unhappy. I like what I want to do, and it interests me; I’m excited to pursue my career choice. For me, I am choosing the occupation I want because of happiness and satisfaction. Of course, money is a slight factor, but I really don’t think I’d change my career just because of money. I do not want to lead a miserable life because of my job. I want to live a happy and fulfilled life, not one where I dread waking up every morning.

  67. After reading the brief article on the top 10 jobs in demand, I've concluded that they are in such demand today because people are getting old. Thus, many of these elderly people will need personal financial advisers and will need personal care aids because they will soon reach an age where they realize that they can't function mentally and/or physically as well as they used to. All the jobs listed are very much necessary in an American society's wants and needs and therefore increase in demand. However, I would not change my career choice just because I see other jobs that are in greater demand. I will continue to pursue my dreams as a physician Assistant (PA) or a pediatrician. Though salary plays an important role in the career choices people make, I stick by the saying "Find what you love doing, do it for for a living, and you'll never work a day in your life." I feel like if I were to change my career choice just to double my salary, I wouldn't be as happy as I would be doing what I love and making a great deal of money either way.

  68. After reading this article, I've learned that what I was taught about choosing a career has changed quite a bit. Jobs as a scout or skin care specialist never really sounded promising to me. Reading about these jobs gives me some insight on the value society puts on some jobs. I believe though that these jobs are growing because others are seeing the benefits that can be made. Also, these jobs are special jobs. In this time social resources are needed more than ever. With the new technological age it feels so good to have some do what you are too confused or lazy to do. If people know they are needed and paid sufficiently, they'll get into that profession. I believe my future profession is chosen out of a passion. I believe it s nice to know you are paid well. Ever since I can remember I have heard that teachers are not paid what they should be. Quite honestly I agree. I think teachers should be paid the highest. I mean teachers are raising the next generation of professionals. But I do have to say that I will never give up on my call to teach early education. If anything I think this article has given me ideas. Maybe I can turn my teaching into an entrepreneur position. I believe my career will make ways for me. Now is when I need to brainstorm ways of advancement and progress. But if anything Human Resources always sounded fun. I am really good with dealing people where they are.

  69. I still decide to stick with my job since none of those top ten jobs are one of my occupations. I believe those jobs are growing fast because we use them everyday as a natural resource. The key to having a good job is something that makes you happy to be there. You may think about making money after you decided hat his is the job for you and fits your talent. Other people choose jobs that get a lot of pay, but don't enjoy the work they do which makes no sense to me. Finding a job is easy but finding one that makes you smiles and makes you want to stay is a great job. The top ten fastest growing jobs come from the things we use daily like gas, oil, and a translator. Its not easy to stay at one job but if its worth your time then you made the right choice. I can really respect those people who work for one of the fast growing jobs because they work hard and get it done.

  70. These specific stores are being classified as the "best stores to work for because 1.) you can grow within the company which was stated in the article, which means it is likely that you can and will move up in ranking in position. 2.) it is not hard to get a job at one of these locations. If I had to pick one store to work at it would be Costco because unlike the many other stores that offer opportunities such has healthcare and education, but it has an exceptionally high pay rate. Costco also seems to have the biggest likely hood to move up in the company.
